Our Story
Like many woodworking companies, we began as a small operation in a converted garage. Using the tools we had available and the desire to perfect our craft, we started our woodworking journey in 2018. Then the humidity of Iowa summers followed by long winters quickly put the thoughts of expansion on our minds.
After a few years of classical woodworking out of our 3 car garage, we were able to grow into an industrial building in downtown Davenport, Iowa fully equipped with air conditioning, heat, more power, and bigger, better tools. The addition of CNC machining, laser engraving, and 3D renderings meant we could create even more for our customers. While our roots are still based in traditional artistry, our new technology shifted our approach to creating one-of-a-kind pieces and thus, Oak + Maker Design Company was born!

Our Approach
We mix classical woodworking and handcrafting methods with modern technology to enhance our products. With our 3D modeling software, we are able to show examples of our blueprints to our customers. Our ability to CNC and laser engrave various materials allows us to make truly unique pieces, tailored specifically for you.
